The biggest disagreement my wife and I ever had was when to have a kid. She wanted to have one sooner – I did later. I think that’s a common wife/husband division, though I wouldn’t rush to any generalization. I didn’t want to have a kid yet because I was afraid how it might change our relationship. I was not ready for that to happen. I wanted to take our time. We could become financially stable, go on trips, etc. All the predictable things people like to do.
Now that the baby is born… it’s not what I expected. It’s too soon to have grasped how a kid will change our lives. Everything is the same in some ways and different in others. It’s hard to describe.
